We are GRIMMS GROUP, doing business since 1995 – GRIMMS EXPORTS AND IMPORTS and GRIMMS TRAVELS in Kotagiri-Tamil Nadu, India.

The history of Grimms Estates goes back to 1982 when Mr. Grimm from Germany and Mr. Subramaniyam invested and purchased Grimms Estates. The firm consisted of 24 ladies and 10 gents working under primitive conditions at that time. Four years later, in 1986, Grimms Estates was covered by sprinkler irrigation in an effort to modernize operations and better living quarters were provided for the staff. In 1999, Grimms Estates purchased more area in order to expand its wings and improve its operations. In the same year, the company began marketing the branded tea – Grimms Nilgiris Tea in southern India. Sales turnover reached Rs.2 crores in the local market till December 2000.

In 2005, we decided to establish our business in Japan as a registered company in the name of GRIMMS TRADING & CORPORATION. A year later, we started GRIMMS TOURS, doing holiday tours from India, domestic and Japan.

We are having a family resort in KOTAGIRI- NILGIRIS in Tamil Nadu in the name of GRIMMS VILLA RESORTS. The resort is set around an old villa inside a tea estate overlooking a valley and mountains. The resort is easily accessible by road from Kotagiri town and has all modern facilities.
